  The first time I went to this church I was 12 and a half. My mom took me and she wouldn't let me bring my pet caterpillar, but she did let me bring my pet dogwood tree branch, as long as I kept him on his leash. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the shag carpeting. Because my pet dogwood tree branch got stuck in it. It's much easier for us to go to the mall where he can slide along the tile floors, but we have yet to find biblical preaching at the mall, so HCC was an obvious second choice. This church was very welcoming to us. They had a nursery area but no area for dead plant parts that serve as companions, so my pet dogwood tree branch sat with us during the service. I tried to listen to the sermon but my pet had written a song about a recent trip to Washington, DC and sang it quietly under his breath the whole time we were there, and I found it hard to focus on anything but his sweet voice.
  
  The second time I went to this church I was 21, attended alone, and brought a large bowl of baked beans with me for breakfast. They had removed the shag carpeting.

  Holy Spirit filled sermons/messages that reach many in all sorts of circumstances. Extremely friendly people.
